The Pumpkin Spice Latte made its return to Starbucks on Tuesday, Sept. 5, and we’d be surprised if it hasn’t already made at least one appearance on your Instagram feed. Even though the drink’s return is pretty much as a good a sign as any that fall is creeping nearer, let us not forget that it’s technically still summer. So for anyone who’s not exactly in the mood for drinking hot coffee just yet, there’s another (colder) Starbucks secret menu item you can opt for instead: the Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino. According to Starbucks Secret Menu, it’s basically the closest you’ll get to eating cheesecake in a cup.

Since the Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino is a secret menu item (a.k.a. a drink you can customize to get that flavor, not an actual item on the menu), it’s very likely that your barista won’t know how to make one if you request it by that name. Instead, order a base Frappuccino and customize it with whatever additions are necessary. In this case, you would ask for a creme-based Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino with a pump of Cinnamon Dolce syrup, a scoop of vanilla bean powder and a pump of white mocha sauce.
Or, for a lighter version, you could order a vanilla bean Frappuccino with two pumps of pumpkin sauce, like we did.
If you’re used to drinking regular lattes, this drink may be a little too sweet for your tastes — even the vanilla bean version. However, if a Mocha, Java Chip, or White Chocolate Mocha Frapp is your go-to order, you’ll be fully on board with this decadent drink. We’ll let you be the judge on this one.
