I know people who are really excellent backgammon players. I used to ask them all the time how they became so good and they always replied that winning backgammon strategy isn't something so hard to achieve. A lot of them said they improved their skills by playing online, while others just gave me some simple tips which I will never forget.
One thing to remember that's part of a winning backgammon strategy is how to leave your self the most options for play. For one thing, it's a good idea not to place a lot of your checkers on your low points. Try to stay clear especially of points one and two. To ascertain a winning backgammon strategy you have to be in control of the doubling. If you think your opponent is going to double and you don’t want him to, make a move that will make him not want to double.
Try to think all the time of many different moves you can do, don't just play the first move you think up in your head. Try to think of three different moves for every turn and how your opponent will respond to each of them. The best move is a smart, well thought out one. A winning backgammon strategy is not hard to achieve. Just try to be aware of your opponent's weakness and patterns in play and you will be off to a great start. Take my word for it. |
