I am pretty new to this online poker stuff. I have been playing with play money on some sites for quite a while. I do this just so that I can practice some basic skills before I commit to low buy in real money stuff. When I play with actual money it doesn’t change much of the fundamental dynamics of the entire game. Maybe the willingness to call absurd bets is a bit bigger. Does anyone who plays with real money have any thoughts on this? Like on how much it really changes the way the game is played. Do you think it has affected my online play education? |

There defiantly is some difference when you’re making the jump from a play to $1. When you do look back, you will realize that the difference is not as big as you might have imagined. The main difference is maybe only being able to fold into money 1 out of 3 instead of one out of two.
Another difference is the play money buy in. The game that anyone can get into is not as challenging. If you go up to the higher play money buy ins where you have to win to get into it’s better.
I mean maybe the changes in play are not too drastic, but he feeling you feel and the potential money you could win is what makes the big difference. |
