Don't be afraid to leave checkers exposed in order to rush them towards your home board - players that make only safe moves, keeping their checkers covered, will rarely get ahead.

Defensive strategy is also important. You must create blockades and made points around the board in order to trap your opponent or hinder his game. A point with two or more of your checkers on it is useless to your opponent. You can create rows of these points around the board or you can make anchor points within your opponent’s home board in order to slow him down while you race towards the finish!
