I think that Daniel is a really talented player. He is one of my favorites. I have learned a great deal from watching him play over the past four seasons. I think that usually he has played very well. He has a particular style which dictates very precise and expert play on the post-flop. I have seen him lay down the second best hand a lot of times.
During season two, he had some bad luck. The deck was just super cold. There was that hand with Hansen, there was another time when Lindgren made quads on the turn after Negeanu flopped that straight, I was surprised when he called. I don’t know what was going through his head during that hand with Antonius, but Patrick is not an easy person to decipher.
my 2 cents... |

He is a good tournament player and he seems to be strong when playing in cash limit games. Online players do swarm to his table when he sits down. There has got to be a reason why. He could be good, but his ego gets the better of him some of the time and if it weren’t for that he could be even better I think. |

What people need to realize is that judging players skills can be difficult. People don’t see that there opinions of him are all based on how he lays with his competition. Think about this, if you put me with four other guys in a golf game and the other guys were casual players I’d beat them easily. The thing is though that if you put e in a foursome with Tiger Woods, Phil, and Vijay I’d get my but kicked. |
