Here's some interesting info about the world series of poker. For anybody who didn’t already know, the winner of the WSOP HORSE tournament will get a trophy and the Trophy is quite debatable. The trophy is a Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.
What do you guys think of that? I think it should be retroactive to when Chip won the trophy originally and then make him the first winner of the trophy. I think they should actually name the actual tournament after him, but the other idea I said is also good. |

This is all a bit over exaggerated if you ask me. He was a good poker player, but not a “legend” in my opinion. Now he is dead, it is a natural part of life. It doesn’t mean though that he deserves a memorial. I didn’t know the guy. I‘m sure he was great, but he wasn’t my friend so why should I have to commemorate his death? I am not playing in the tournament so I really don’t care that much. |

Listen man if you don’t care than why did you post? I care, it is important to discuss these things because one day a player you really respect will pass and there should be some kind of guidelines or tradition for this. I think making it retroactive and giving him a trophy is just too weird. There is nothing wrong though with just giving him a just trophy that is ok. |
