One of the most exciting and popular poker games around is Texas Holdem. Texas Holdem poker rules are very simple so the game is quite easy to learn.
Texas Holdem poker rules state that before any cards are dealt each player places a blind bet or ante in order to form the pot. Following this each player is dealt two cards face down. These cards are known as the private cards because nobody besides the player himself may look at them. After each player sees his private cards there is another round of betting. Players may choose to call, raise or fold based on their private cards.
In the next round three cards are placed face up in the middle of the table. These are called community cards and are shared by all of the players. Following this is another round of betting in which players choose to call, raise or fold based on both their private cards and the community cards. Following are two more rounds. Each round is made up of the placing of one additional community card and followed by another round of betting. At the end of the game is the showdown, and whoever has the highest hand from their private cards and the community cards wins.
Texas Holdem poker rules do not state, as in some other games, that a certain amount of community cards or private cards must be used in the final hand, so just made the best hand you can.
Now that you understand Texas Holdem poker rules give the game a try! If you are like most poker enthusiasts you will love it! |
