Backgammon is such a great game. It is popular all over the globe and almost everyone knows how to play. There is often a backgammon game going on in social situations so it's important or maybe just fun to be at least a good player. Here are some backgammon playing tips which can really help you to improve your game.
For one thing, make sure that you are always thinking of many different options for each play you make. Think of three different ways you can play your next move and then try to foresee how you opponent will react. Some more specific backgammon playing tips are as follows…For one thing, it's recommended that you try not to put too many checkers on your low points in the initial part of the game. The points are the big black triangles on the board where you place your checkers. Try to steer clear of points one and two as that placement can limit your play options as the game progresses. Another one of the backgammon playing tips that's good to keep in mind is about anchoring.
An anchor is when you place two or more of your checkers in your opponent's home board. Sometimes it's good to play at an equal pace as your opponent. Don't let them gain control of the game. If your opponent makes an anchor, you should also try to anchor. If you want to look up other tips there are plenty online. Just type in backgammon playing tips into your search engine browser and choose a site. You'll be able to find tons of tips and you can read up on suggested plays and see which ones apply to your game. |
