Backgammon is an exciting game no doubt. But, there are ways of playing that add even more risk and suspense to the game. It's really fun to gamble with backgammon and try to win by a landslide. One way to do this which is great is by scoring a backgammon.
Scoring backgammon is a hard thing to accomplish. You can do this by winning the game and leaving an opponent who is in a bad position. Your opponent must have not born off any of his checkers and still must have one or more on the bar (this is the space in the middle of the board where checkers rest before they are placed back on) or one checker in the winner's home board. Scoring backgammon may be hard, but the consequences are great when you're gambling.
When you score backgammon you automatically triple the stakes in the game. This is the one move in backgammon that can raise the stakes so high in one play. Scoring backgammon is something that takes an ultra experienced master player or just one player who is the loser who plays very badly. Just make sure to focus and be aggressive. You could be closer to making this famous move than you think. Just make sure to have a game plan and be flexible with the game. Always think of many options of play for each turn and think how your opponent will react to each one. |
