A couple of months from now I’ll be running a backgammon tournament in my town. It’s gonna be pretty major so I’m pretty excited about it—there are gonna be at least 35 people competing, including myself (of course I’m hoping I’ll come out on top, the prize pool is pretty good, but if I don’t win it should still be fun just to run it).
Anyhow, I’m looking for any information about running a tournament, draw sheets that I can download to make organization a little easier, and any other stuff that people can think of that might help me.
Thanks! |

| Hmm. I am thinking that if you are running the tournament it isn’t such a good idea for you to play in it, especially if you are gonna be competitive about it, and it seems like you are. It isn’t really fair to your opponents if your matches are interrupted for you to take care of “director duties”, not to mention that it’s just downright unprofessional. |

I would have to agree that it would be unprofessional for you to participate and compete in the tournament if you are directing it. I can understand that you probably liked competing in backgammon tournaments in the past and that’s probably the reason why you are directing this one, but I still don’t think it’s a wise idea.
Aside from that, you can find downloadable draw sheets here:

Good luck! |
