Hello, Im pretty new to poker and the post here are helpful. I was hoping that someone could tell me about some new poker books that are on the market? I read already the 3 HOH, Carao’s book of tells, Hilgers odds and probabilities and Navarro’s Read them and weep-they were all super helpful in giving me tips to improve my game. I was planning to buy Largay’s NO limit Texas hole m complete course and maybe killer poker no limit from Vorhous and the maybe how good is our game from Jacobs. Has anyone read these books? What do you think?
I would think of myself as an above average to maybe an inter mediate level player and I play a lot at local tournaments. I am struggling between which Sklansky book to buy. Any suggestions would be awesome. |

Definitely get the NO limit Hold em Theory and practice. It is easily the best book and it is defiantly the most relevant towards beating today’s games. Tournament poker for advanced players is more of like a beginners guide and maybe that isn’t right for your skill level. HOH 1-3 covered everything you need so you don need to grab The tournament poker for advanced players. TOP is defiantly great, but you know what, I would recommend reading the NLTAP as that will really help you right away in your game. |
