Backgammon is so popular all around the globe; you have people playing all different types of games. Some players are children and some are professional adult gamblers. The game really differs depending on who's playing. One thing is for sure, playing advanced backgammon is totally different than playing in a beginner's game or tournament.
For one thing, often times beginners have certain tendencies. For one thing they may not use foresight when moving their checkers. Backgammon is a game of chance mixed with strategy, but not all people use the strategy part. When playing advanced backgammon you are constantly thinking of your checker placement and how you can block your opponent. How you can leave him or her with the least options of play and you with the most. Playing advanced backgammon can be defined when the players are also trying to fake out there opponents. This kind of play is not suitable for beginners.
Playing advanced backgammon also involves play moves such as gammons and backgammons. Often times advanced players have been playing for years and gamble for high stakes. They know how think up different game plans which will suit their opponents strengths and weakness. They also know their own so that they can play around their own weakness and still prevail. For instance if an advanced player has to abandon a shot, he or she will place his or her checker in the next best place that will be beneficial to them. They won't just put their checkers anywhere else they can. |
