I know that there are a lot of people now a days who don’t play five card draw poker. I like it though, and I still play it all the time. I had this great idea though of how to change the game a bit. You know give it a bit more pizzazz.
Here’s my idea…Instead of the dealer giving all he players 5 cards in the beginning part of the game, every gets 7 cards. All he players need to discard two and then the game will proceed as usual. Cool idea huh? I like this because I hate the way in five card draw, you can’t make a good hand the same way you can in game like seven card stud or Omaha poker. With five card draw sometimes you may not even get dealt a pair. I do really like the game though. That’s why I am continuing to play it. When you begin with seven cards instead of five, it can add a bit more suspense to the game. |

That’s cool. Another way to change the game would be to make it a double draw. You could begin the game with 5 cards and then draw two time with a round of betting everytime.
This idea could work because you are getting more players in every hand. I don’t know how you can determine hen which hand is a good bet. I am going to try his out with some friends right now. |
