Need advice for buying a backgammon board

Hello Everyone. After playing online for a year, I think it’s finally time for me to buy a real backgammon board. I’ve been doing some research online and I have found tons of stuff that looks great.

I still was wondering though what kind of surface people would recommend to me… Gum? Wool? Suede?

Also, is gum like a rubbery surface? I haven’t heard of that material before, aside from chewing gum of course.

Anyhow, if anyone can give me any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone has a good website they can recommend for someone who wants to buy a board I would love to hear about it.
