| I have a question regarding multiple accounts from the same IP address on FIBS. I am playing from a computer lab at my school. All of the computers are connected to the same server and to the same IP address. I have several friends who have talked about signing up for FIBS too and they use the same computer lab as I do. Although we have different email addresses do you think there will be a problem with us all signing up from the same place? If one of us is signed on, do you think it will prevent the rest of us from being online at the same time? |

The rule is one account per person, not per IP address. If you stick to this, you’re safe. I can see where you concern is coming from. After all, what’s preventing people from signing up for multiple accounts using different email addresses. In this instance the only way FIBS would be able to tell is by seeing that all of the accounts came from the same IP address. However, I think that if you and all of your friends are playing by the rules and each only have one account then you will have nothing to worry about.
I could only see there being a problem when one account is throwing matches to another account in order to lower the rating. If you are playing by the rules you will be fine. |
