The progression from a beginner backgammon player to and intermediate one can take a while. But, once you know how to score a gammon you are really on your way to becoming an advanced player. A gammon is something that occurs in the game of backgammon when one player bears all his chips off his home board before the other player has all his chips in his home board. When one player scores a gammon he wins double the stakes of the game. This is why knowing how to score a gammon is so great.
First of all you need to make sure your opponent is in a position where he can't bear off any of his chips or get all of his or her chips in his or her home board. You need to read your opponent and try to constantly put him in positions where he is left with no options for play. Learning how to score a gammon takes practice and one way to do this is by playing games on the internet. This is the way you are all the time practicing different scenarios of game plays and it will put you in a position to be ready for anything.
Learning how to score a gammon is easy when you play all the time over the internet. You can even choose to be in tournaments and then you are playing with people from all over the world. The more you play the more practice you will have. |
