With a doubling cube you keep count of how many times you double the stakes. For instance if the game is worth one point, you can double it into two. It's also fun when playing in tournaments with friends to make the stakes into something fun like, each point equals a free dinner to the winner. Tournaments are a great way to get friends together and challenge each others minds at the same time.
