I need some major advice on how to play the big blind when you are in the end of tournament play. Should the big blind be protected? Or should you give it up with out contest with medium or poor holdings. My problem is that it has become obvious to several players in my cad room and one player is really gaining from this knowledge of my weak blind. I am an aggressive and tight player and when running dead it’s great for the other player.
How can I handle this aggression which is headed directly at my blinds, in he end of the third in tournament play. |

What you need to do is push back when you think another player is trying to take your place. You need to put pressure on your opponents in NL hold’em. This is what they are doing to you. You need to turn the tables and show those players that you can do I right back. Obviously don’t do it if your hand is horrible, but when you think you can get em, I would reraise or all-in depending on stack sizes with any pocket pair or any suited connector or any two face cards with an ace together.
You need to get even more aggressive when you feel you are being bullied. If you don’t you are going to end up totally exposed. You opponents will continue to keep nipping away at your blinds and you won’t get paid off when you enter the pot! |
