According to a poker tracker, I am 4.2BB per 100 hands and I’m playing at $1/$2 NLHE. If I can get 8-table then I will have about 500 hands in one hour. That is about $42 hour. If I do those 50 hours a week, I will be making $100,000 in one year. Maybe I will go pro!!!
I want to know how you can determine how much you are actually making in one hour work. I am confused about how they calculated $42 an hour? Does any one know how they broke that down exactly? |

You are making some bad evaluations. You need to think about you’re long term win rate. You don’t know it yet do you? You only got these calculations from a few thousand hands of play.
You have to sustain this win rate playing 8 tables at one time. How many tables do you normally play? If it is a lot less than eight tables it is guaranteed that you will have a lower bb/100 and then you’ll be spreading your focus over 8 tables as opposed to your usual 1-6 tables. |

Here is the exact mathematical equation- 4.2 bb is equal to…
Bb equals $2. 4.2 (2)=$8.40 per 100 of the hands you play
$8.4 x5= $42 in one hour
$42 in one hour times 50 hours is two thousand, one hundred in one week.
Two thousand one hundred dollars times fifty two is one hundred and nine thousand two hundred dollars in one year. |
