| I’ve been playing backgammon online for money for a while and have been seeing a lot of ads around for live tournaments with pretty great money prizes. I’m thinking about participating in these tournaments but don’t know if I’m good enough or how I can prepare myself to compete…would love some help. |

| If you are interested in playing in live BG tournaments I would recommend starting with minor tournaments. Though these tournaments may have a lower prize pool than you are looking for, they are a good way to prepare yourself. A tournament setting can be a bit nerve-wracking and you should make sure it’s something you can handle before you jump right in to a tournament with a huge entrance fee. |

Yeah, I agree that you need to start small when it comes to tournaments…I love the tournament scene but it isn’t for everyone. You need to make sure that you won’t freak out and start playing bad should you get behind in the game in your early matches.
Also, have you tried backgammon tournaments online? These are a good way to get used to the tournament setting. |

| Thanks for your help. Can anyone recommend any tournaments or point me in the direction of a website that has a good full listing of tournaments? |
