If you're a fan of board games or you like to bet money on poker or blackjack, why not try backgammon gambling? A game of backgammon is just as skilful as poker and offers you the chance to win some great cash prizes.
Backgammon gambling is made possible by the doubling cube. This six-sided object is used to indicate the level of the wager in the game and gives backgammon a unique and competitive edge. The numbers 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 are displayed on its faces, with the 64 facing upwards at the beginning of a game. Possession of the cube can change hands several times in a game as players offer the cube to their opponents to raise the wager.
A player who does not wish to raise the level of the wager can decline to do so, which will automatically conclude backgammon gambling. However, it also means that the player who refuses the cube forfeits the game. For this reason, it is worthwhile practising your game with the cube before you play against serious opponents and to also stick to playing opponents at your level. Playing against experienced backgammon players will only result in you losing money fast.
Because of the stakes involved in backgammon gambling, a variety of rules and strategies using the doubling cube have developed over the years. One useful tip to consider is that the cube can only be used to increase a wager when it is in your possession. If you are offering the cube to your opponent, you must do so before you throw the dice to take your turn. |
