Hey Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me about a backgammon site that doesn’t manipulate the dice.
Thanks. |

As far as I know, you can play on any site. None of them are manipulating the dice. I think a lot of people use the idea of dice manipulation as an excuse for their sorry game.
I’ve played online backgammon for a while now and have never felt cheated or felt as though the dice had been rigged or manipulated. I’ve played on FIBS, PG, TMS and more and I felt like they were all perfectly fair—I’ve had just as many lucky rolls as bad ones and everything in between. |

Any site can say they are not manipulating the dice and there will always be people who will say that they are lying. It’s a vicious cycle. However, up until now there has been no proof that any particular site is rigging dice rolls so I would trust that these sites are telling the truth and that their rolls are totally random.
I think a lot of people are sore losers and if they are rolling duds over and over while there opponent keeps rolling exactly what they need to hit, make a point or get to their home board they find it easier to blame the backgammon software and not just face the fact that maybe there luck isn’t so bad.
I’ve played plenty of games on a real board, off the web, with real precision dice and seen exactly the same thing. A pair of dice that seemed incredibly lucky for my opponent, and incredibly unlucky for me. Just face the fact that it’s all luck when it comes to random rolls.
I think you can really play on any site, and the dice should have exactly the same results. |

If dice are manipulated, of course these sites wouldn’t be obvious about it. They would manipulate the dice just enough that they would screw over their players but not get caught. After all, these are huge companies and they are careful to cover their tracks. I say don’t trust anyone! |

| The luck of the roll really has more to do with your skill. Rolls are only good or bad based on the position you have put your own checkers in. Don’t blame the dice for your inability to use your roll effectively—blame your own bad strategy! |

The truth of the matter is that most of us aren’t mathematicians and most of us don’t know how to generate a sequence of random numbers or dice rolls or how to understand how such an equation would work.
Backgammon sites put a lot of money into hiring programmers to make software that creates perfectly random dice rolls because that’s what players want, but the truth of the matter is how would we be able to tell if rolls were being manipulated or not? |

| I think that when a lot of people say they want to find a site that doesn’t manipulate dice rolls, what they mean is that they want to find a site that manipulates dice in their favor! |
