Playing backgammon is really fun. It is an ancient game that is popular around the globe and almost everyone knows how to play it. This is why if you are a sociable person it may be important to you to play backgammon well. One thing that is important to ascertain, is a good defensive backgammon strategy. This is something that can be acquired after lots of practice with a variety of players.
One thing that's important in a good defensive backgammon strategy knowing how to place your chips in the beginning of the game. You want to make sure that you are always in the most flexible position for whatever the game throws your way. Try not to place too many chips on your low points in the beginning of the game. Especially try not to place chips on points one and two because this can really limit your options as the game progresses.
Defensive backgammon strategy also requires the player to keep up some equality through out the game. For instance, if your opponent makes anchor, try to also make an anchor yourself as soon as you can. Defensive backgammon strategy just takes foresight. You need to think all the time off how your partner is going to react to your moves and have many different options of play in your head at all times. Be flexible, if one strategy doesn't work out, don't give up. Stay positive and try to think up another solution as quickly as possible. |
