Cracker Barrel is one of those places where if you’re a regular, you probably have a favorite dish on lock. After all, the restaurant is known for OG southern staples like chicken and dumplings, hamburger steak, and those famous biscuits. Why stray from a good thing?
Cracker Barrel recently announced its fall menu items, and they’ll have you leaving that Sunrise Sampler in the dust. Along with lots of maple and pumpkin, the restaurant’s got some more good ol’ comfort food coming to you we’re surprised isn’t on the menu year-round.

First up, the seasonal flavors. There’s the Maple Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, made with two fried eggs, sweet ham, maple pepper bacon, sliced tomato, lettuce and cheese on sourdough bread, served with fried apples (!!!) or hash brown casserole.
There’s also a Pumpkin Spice Pancake Breakfast that sounds like a PSL on steroids — pumpkin spice pancakes topped with whipped cream, cinnamon powdered sugar, and syrup, and served with sausage, bacon, or sausage patties.
You can also order a Pumpkin Muffin or Pumpkin Custard ‘n Gingersnaps dessert. For something savory, there’s a Maple Pecan Fried Chicken, served with maple mustard sauce, two sides, and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. Your arteries might hate you, but your heart will be happy.
As for the classic comfort foods, Cracker Barrel is adding Shepherd’s Pie and a Prime Rib French Dip Sandwich to the menu too.
