| If I play backgammon with a clock, what is the rule regarding picking up the dice and THEN doubling. Is this legal? I would think that you could only offer the cube before you pick up the dice from the opponent’s roll. Any insight into this question is appreciated. |

| I would think that clicking the clock means that you effectively ended your play so whatever you do UNTIL that time is perfectly acceptable. You can also double immediately after you opponent hits the clock. |
