If there is one word synonymous with an online poker game, it is 'bluffing'. This strategy is the core of any good game and most poker games simply would not exist without this concept. Simply speaking, players should remember that they don't HAVE to bluff in a game.

Many online poker game players think that to win a game, they need to bluff all the time throughout the game. While players will undoubtedly need to do a fair amount of bluffing, they need to realize that if they bluff continuously through the game, their opponents around the table will soon understand their strategy and start to call their bluffs at every given opportunity. This is obviously something that players will want to avoid, as once a strategy becomes transparent it is not worth anything.

The most important thing to remember when using the bluffing technique in an online poker game is that it should be used as just one strategy among a number of others. Players should familiarize themselves with several other techniques to help them win the game, and therefore vary their poker playing. Having a handful of techniques available to pull out means the player's game strategy remains varied and difficult to crack. Surprise is an important element in the game of poker, and definitely no less important than the concept of bluffing.
