One of the most infamous of all of the Blackjack strategies is Blackjack card counting. This Blackjack technique is the stuff that casino legends and Hollywood films are made of. Although it's been glamorized and condemned, Blackjack card counting is still a popular strategy in use today. It is by far one of the most effective ways of reducing the house's advantage in Blackjack to zero.
Fortunately for players, Blackjack card counting does not require the memorization of each card that dealt at a Blackjack table. In fact, the reason why the strategy is so popularly used is because it simplifies the memorization process to a simple tally. Instead of remembering the specific cards that pass in and out of a dealer's hands, players need only add and subtract numbers to retain a count total in their heads. The idea behind Blackjack card counting is that by knowing which cards have already been played, a player can predict which cards have yet to emerge from the deck. This knowledge can greatly reduce the margin of guessing in a game, allowing a player to make bolder bets with more certainty that they will have a positive outcome.
Players' Blackjack card counting betting advantage can be used to eliminate the house advantage. Players can increase the amount of their bets when they feel that an overwhelming amount of 10-value cards are about to emerge. They can also use counting to know when Doubling Down will be most advantageous. |
