BG for money site recommendations

I’ve been playing on Play65 for a while now and I can’t help but feel that the rolls aren’t completely random. I have seen duplicate rolls far more often then I feel like there should be if the rolls were really totally random. It’s making me a little uneasy so I wondered if anyone could recommend other good play for money sites.

First of all, I want to address your concern about dice randomness. Most, if not all, online backgammon sites certainly have fair dice rolls (including Play65). They have random dice roll software and so there shouldn’t be any problems with dice manipulation. Often times, players have a problem conceptualizing the idea of a completely random roll. Aside from that, sometimes if you are losing the game it can be easier to blame the dice than to just accept that your opponent’s luck or strategy was better than your own.

Now, about other sites… there are many and you’ll just have to try them out to see which one makes you feel the most comfortable. There is TrueMoneyGames, ClubGames, GammonSite and GamesGrid, just to name a few. I generally play TrueMoneyGames as I think it has a great interface but you’ll have to make that decision for yourself.

There has yet to be a study or lawsuit that has shown non-random dice in any online backgammon server. If you like Play65 other than the dice, I would keep playing there because you might have a problem with the dice anywhere you play. Otherwise, you should just start playing backgammon off the web, where you can roll real dice and feel comfortable with the outcome.
