You walk into a poker game and the first thing that you notice is how many chips each play has at the table. This is the same for when playing at the best online poker sites. This small piece of knowledge tells you a wealth of information such as how well the player plays, and the amounts that people buy in for is the best clue. Those players that buy in for small amounts are usually not confident players who don't want to risk all their money at once.
With that said the best online poker knowledge is knowing how stack sizes affect the chances of you to win in the future when you make a good hand, not forgetting that the chance of hitting that strong hand has to be taken into consideration.
So what is a universally agreed upon measurement of stack sizes??
There are no dictionary definitions, nor are there any black and white answers to this question, however here is a guide that you can go by the next time you find yourself in on of the best online poker rooms.
40 big blinds or less are usually small stacks
41-99 big blinds are medium stacks
100 big blinds or more are large stacks
Not only can the size of a stack increase the value of tentative hands, they also tend to make the game fancier since people with larger stacks tend to use bluffing as a valuable tool when playing in the best online poker rooms. |
