Just wondering how much of your bank roll should you be putting up for tourney entry fees?

I usually spend about 5% to 10% on tournament entry fees. Sometimes when I’m really feeling lucky I buy in for two to three times that.
Often times I am paying $5 to $15 entry fees. One time I went to a tournament and I saw 24+2 on the list and I knew I had to play! I was really nervous, but I could just feel my lucky streak and I knew I had to play. I went with my gut and I ended up winning the entire thing!
Sometimes when you know you just have it and you really need to play, it’s best t take the risk. Challenging yourself makes you a better player. Also when you are playing with higher stakes, often times it really pushes you to be the best player you can be.
This kind of luck does not come everyday though. You need to know yourself and on the days you are feeling off, bet small. ON days like that I often put only like $5 or $10. You just have to get a feel for your mood and your performance at the moment. This is what I think is the most important thing to understand. |

More than $20 may not be a good choice but you never know you may get lucky. I prefer $10 |
