Backgammon game rules are not too complicated. There are a couple important things you shouldn't forget. First of all, you have to keep in mind the way the checkers are set up in the beginning of the game. Place five checkers on your point six, place three checkers on your point eight, place five checkers on your point thirteen and then place two checkers on your point twenty four. This is the equation for a correctly set up board.
Once your checkers are placed, backgammon game rules call for you to move the dice according to these easy guide lines. First of all you can only roll your dice at the beginning of your turn, once. There are two dice and you roll them together. This indicates where you can move your checkers. Each dice can act as an individual move of the checker or you can add the two dice together.
For instance, if you roll a one and a four. You can move one checker one and another four or you can move one checker five. Backgammon game rules also state that you can only move your checker towards your higher points. This means if you are the player whose point one is at his closest right hand edge of the board, he or she moves his checkers left in a clockwise position.
Backgammon game rules aren't something that is too hard to learn. Just keep in mind the point of the game is to eventually get all you checkers into your home board and then off the board completely. |
