| Could anyone please direct me to good backgammon freeware? I use XP and I’d prefer something non-invasive. I’d prefer not to pay anything for the program but if need be, I’ll pay for something cheap as well. Thanks in advance. |

Hi there –
There are a few good backgammon programs out there.
Try: BNGbg – It’s free and offers great features such as tutoring and analyzing.
Snowie4 – Its student version costs around a hundred bucks. It also has a full version that costs more.
JellyFish Light 3.5 – Another free program and has almost world-class player level.
BG Blitz – This comes in three versions – free, player and professional. The player and professional versions cost between $20 and $50 and are well worth the cost. You can get a player version and then upgrade to the professional for less money. Compared to other programs of this level and quality, this is truly a case of getting something exceptional for very little money. By the way, BG Blitz is available for play on Windows, Linux and MacOS. You will need to able to run Java through your system. |
