Backgammon for Windows XP

Hello.

I am looking for a decent version of backgammon software that will work on Windows XP. I had an old version of backgammon that was included in a compilation of games software that I bought when I first got my computer, but now that I’ve upgraded my operating system it doesn’t seem to work anymore. I’ve been looking around Amazon and eBay and other stores that are selling cheap software but I haven’t come across anything.

Anybody know where I can find some decent backgammon software that will work with my Windows XP??

You do know that you don’t have to buy bg software, right?
There are a bunch of places you can download the software for free online and you can play against a computer or against real live opponents around the world.

GNU backgammon is a free version that not only lets you play, but also analyzes your game and gives you tips on how you can improve. It’s definitely my top choice for backgammon software.

also, Jellyfish is another free version of backgammon software, specifically for Windows. It’s easy to use and plays pretty well. http://www.jellyfish-backgammon.com/

Since there free you can try out as many as you like and see which one you like the best. Good luck.
