Backgammon is a game which is really ancient. It is played all over the world and is defiantly recognized as one of the most famous board games across the globe. Because so many play the game, in so many different cultures, the variety of boards and game pieces are really interesting.

Backgammon consists of backgammon checkers, a board, a doubling cube and dice. The basic concept and design of these pieces stays similar.
