Hi all,
I am Danish and therefore not a native English speaker. Over the years I have managed to read the interesting internet articles about backgammon strategy and others. Now that backgammon is so popular over the world, I was wondering if anybody knows of good backgammon articles written in Danish.
Thank you – Mange Tak! |

It’s good to hear that you have managed up until now with the information that was available on the internet but I am sure that you want to read articles in your own language. Do a search in Danish and I’m sure that you’ll come up with some excellent results. I’m not a native Danish speaker but I have managed to see some good articles on strategy, theory and tournaments.
A good starting point would be the Danish Backgammon Federation’s homepage. There are good links on this site and they make for interesting reading.
Also, try the homepages of the largest Danish backgammon clubs. Those that come to mind are the Copenhagen Club (Kobenhavns Backgammon Klub), the Odense Backgammon Klub and the Arhus Backgammon Klub.
Other Scandanavian countries also offer great information. Try the backgammon clubs of Sweden and Norway.
It’s interesting to see how online backgammon sites are popping up all over the internet with non-English speakers in mind. It could be because they are finally realizing that globalization is all about making their products available to everyone out there. I know that many online backgammon sites have made their software and help desks available in a multitude of languages and I am almost positive that Danish is included in their Multilanguage packages. |
