What is backgammon anchoring? Backgammon anchoring is when you place two or more of your own checkers into the other player's home board. This is a really good way to transform yourself into the aggressive player you've always dreamed you'd become. It's a great thing to do because it gives your opponent less options and makes an obstacle that he or she has to try to play around. Remember that if your opponent makes an anchor in your home board, it's important for you to try to make one as well. Try to keep the game as even as you can.
