OK people how would you handle this situation. I have a pretty close group of friends that I like to play poker with. We sometimes play poker together. There is five of us. We just play for some fun and just a little cash but nothing to heavy or anything. Like every one puts in $10 here in there.
My girlfriend and I just moved in together and she’s really great and loves to play poker and video games and stuff. The problem is she’s so bad at poker.
Like every time she gets knocked out of the game after a few rounds and I end up feeling so bad. I feel bad because she is just like sitting there bored for like an hour until we finish playing. I would maybe suggest to her not to play, but I think that would make her feel really bad. I’m trying to teach her to get better, but that’s going to take a bit of time. |

Don’t worry man this isn’t a big thing. Eventually she is going to get better or she’ll realize that she doesn’t like the game anymore. I think though that you should keep encouraging her to play. It’s really important in a god relationship for the two people to understand each other’s hobbies. If the money part is a problem than maybe you can suggest to your friends that the first couple games of the night are like a practice free roll type of game and you can play like that until she busts out. It isn’t as nice, but at least she’ll still be learning and won’t feel left out. |
