What do you guys think about satellite tournaments? Seriously I really want to know what the consensus is on this. The reason I am asking is because satellite tournaments usually means you win more money than just your buy in for the tournament when you get in. The thing is if you some in either 10th or w/e and make it in it is much better for you, so what do you guys think about? |

I don’ play in many tournaments, but I would think that if the satellite is BI IS w/in our bankroll, it’s defiantly ok to give it a chance. Why not? I am answering this way because you can either play it by yourself or sell off your seat for face value almost in every situation right? You would defiantly be doing this or taking a shot at bigger payouts by playing in the main tournament first. You should only sell the seat as a last resort, not for profit. I’m certain a similarly sized BI would have a much bigger payout.
You can’t sell a $10 regular tournament t a $10 satellite when it comes to R management in this situation. A win in a satellite only gives you a certain seat in he bigger tournament. It’s like playing a tournament with a much wider playing ground so the difference is much higher. It’s like comparing a $10 mtt with 100 players to a $10 mtt with 1000 players. |
