I noticed that some online casinos offer American roulette, some casinos offer European roulette and some offer both. Are there any differences between these two games? |

There is a difference between these two games and it is very important to note. American roulette and European roulette are played on different wheels.
The European roulette wheel is made up of 37 slots—there are slots numbered from 0 – 36.
The American roulette wheel contains all of these slots, plus a 00 slot which means that an American wheel has a total of 38 slots.
Because of the addition of the 00 slot to the wheel a player has slightly lower odds on an American wheel. Therefore it is advised that you always play on a European roulette wheel when you have the option.
Aside from the wheel, American roulette and European roulette are played by the same rules. |
