Download Backgammon SoftwareI was playing a home poker game with friends the other day and the dealer was really bad. He was sloppy and I have a question about something that happened in the game. The dealer was passing out the cards and the players saw one. When the dealer is passing the cards out to the players and one flops over, what happens to the card that the players saw? Can the person whose card it was intended to be, keep the card if it’s a good card? Or does the card have to turn into a burn card because everyone saw it?

Download Backgammon SoftwareI’m sorry to say that if other players saw the card, it has to become the burn card. Sometimes it’s a bummer when it happens to you and you could have gotten a really good card, but that’s just the way it is. The game continues by the deal continuing to go around the table, and the player who had the burn card, gets the last card. The exposes card is then shown to all the other players and then it should be placed on the top of the deck to be burned.

These are the rules at the casino I play in so I think that they must be pretty accurate. All other rules relating to this should be very similar or exactly the same to what I mentioned above. Once any card is exposed during dealing, none of the players can use it. That’s just basic rules of the game.
