I have to say something about the second hand that really made me think while watching the WSOP. Here are the details. Yang has a massive CL and he has something around 60-65 million and the second place has like 22mill-then he raises in at- early to middle- to 1.5 mil. Then Khan raised to 6 million. He left himself 3.5 mill in his bankroll. Ok then Yang just spaced for at least two minutes and then calls. I think he must have thought that Khan had pushed, but I don’t really know. After this Yang went to flip his cards and then the dealer or TD said he need to wait a sec, that the hand wasn’t done. Khan then says he’s all in the dark and then Yang also calls in the dark. Ok now what happens is Khan has AQ, but Yang has the JJ. The JJ takes over.
The commentators criticized Khan for going all in, in the dark and also the way he raised to 6 mill with only 9.5 mill. But as for the 6 mill raise, I think he really should have gone for the preflop. As for that blind, I would do the same thing. He didn’t expect to be called. Anyhow the money in the pot then like 13 million with antes….Khan can’t fold on the flop so why is pushing in the dark such a bad idea? |
